A tired sink cabinet in a Mumbai bathroom usually fails in the same way: the shutter swells, the screws stop holding, and the bottle shelf becomes a damp shelf. A new vanity is the cabinet under or around the basin, built for splash and a shut, steamy room — not a bedroom dressing table with a basin photo on it.
Mumbai Master Carpentry builds the carcass, the shutters, and the cut-out for the basin you are using. A plumber sets the tap and the waste. We name that split on the quote so you know who is doing what before you pay an advance. The photograph above is bathroom vanity design inspiration, not a completed client project. What you can ask us to build
- Floor-standing — when the wall should not carry the load
- Wall-hung — the floor stays clear to mop, if the wall can hold it
- A counter and a basin cut-out — our finished board, or a stone top from the stone contractor
- A mirror cabinet above — only if you want it. It is a separate line, and it has to clear the tap
Tell us the basin: countertop, undermount, or one you already own. The cut-out follows that basin. A quote that says “vanity” and never names the basin is not ready to sign.

Repair it, or replace it
A lifted edge on a firm board can be a repair. A box that is soft, or a shutter that swelled and stayed swollen, is a replacement. We say which after we see it. We would rather decline a repair than take money for a sink cabinet that will not hold screws in July.
Small bathrooms also fail on 20 millimetres. A vanity that is slightly too deep is why the door stops shutting. We measure the door, the trap, and the wall together.
What changes the quote
There is no vanity price list. A wall-hung box with your basin is not a floor unit with a stone top and a mirror cabinet. Simpler custom furniture starts from an indicative ₹18,000 per piece. That band is not a bathroom package and not a city average. These lines are what we price:

Our workmanship warranty covers joints, fit, and finish on the cabinet we built, for one year. It does not cover a leak or a failed waterproofing layer. If the wall is already damp, we will say so at the visit. Care after handover is on monsoon furniture care. The visit itself follows the process.

No. We build and install the cabinet and coordinate the cut-out. Tap, waste, and bathroom waterproofing stay with the trades licensed for them. Those exclusions are written on the quote before you pay an advance.
No. A moisture-resistant carcass is the right board for a Mumbai bathroom. It is not waterproof forever. Open edges, an unsealed cut-out, and a leak left sitting will still damage it. We seal the cut-outs that are part of our work.
Often yes, if it is sound and we can confirm the cut-out and the trap. Send a clear photo. If the basin is cracked or the waste position makes a cabinet impossible, we say so before any advance.
