Electrical, plumbing, stone tops, appliances, civil work, and painting stay off the carpentry quote unless a line says otherwise. If you supply the wood or the top, say so before we quote. Workmanship still covers our joinery. Defects in material you bought are not our warranty — that boundary is on workmanship and after-care.
Why two quotes for “a bed” disagree
One figure may be a headboard in laminate. The other may be a bed, two side tables, soft-close drawers, and a finish you saw in a photo. Compare the four lines, not the noun. A lump sum that hides hardware grade or skips installation is hard to put next to an itemised quote. The questions we use for kitchens are on the quote checklist. The same questions apply here: what is the material, what is the hardware, who installs it, and what is the timeline.
Payment and timeline
On most home jobs the payment is 40% advance, 40% when the work reaches site, 20% at handover. Large commercial jobs can differ, and that difference is written on that quote. A single piece is usually faster than a kitchen (often about 12–18 days after approval) or one wardrobe (often about 7–10 days). You get dates for your piece before you pay the advance. Finish changes after we cut are a new quote line.
Mumbai flats, briefly
Older rooms are often out of square. A long sideboard and a small service lift need a plan at the visit, not on install morning. Humidity matters on an external wall and under an AC drip.
