A steel cupboard is the wrong object when the wall is an odd length, a column sits where a desk should be, or a small office needs a front that clients actually see. Office carpentry, for us, is the woodwork: storage walls, work counters, closed credenzas, and a reception counter. The same Fort workshop builds that cabinetry along a wall at home, when the workspace is part of the flat.

Mumbai Master Carpentry measures the room, builds at 208, Wakefield House, Ballard Pier, Fort, and installs around the building’s access rules. We are carpenters. Electrical, data, and civil work stay with those trades unless a line on the quote says otherwise. The photos are workspace and furniture design inspiration, not completed client projects and not a labelled office in a named building.

Home workspace or a small office
Say which it is on the first message. The woodwork can look similar. Access, after-hours install, and payment may not. Most home jobs are 40% advance, 40% when the work reaches site, 20% at handover. A commercial schedule is written on that quote if it differs. The detail is on payment milestones.
A home renovation that already includes a kitchen and wardrobes can take the workspace in the same sequence — home renovation carpentry — so one team is not waiting on another. One storage wall on its own is also a normal job. You do not have to order a whole office to get a cabinet.
What changes the quote
There is no per-desk rate. Simpler custom furniture starts from an indicative ₹18,000 per piece. Broader carpentry engagements on our site are often from ₹55,000, and carpentry renovations from ₹1,20,000. Those are our starting bands, not a city average and not an office package.
- Length, height, and depth of the run
- Shelves, file drawers, or a lockable shutter — locks are a hardware line
- A top we supply, or a top you supply. Workmanship covers our joinery, not a defect in a top you bought
- After-hours install, if the office can only take a crew outside working hours
- Vendor forms, the service lift, and the loading window — send them with the first WhatsApp
